Netflix has released the official trailer for the sixth and final season of the cult DC series "Lucifer."

Created and executive produced by Tom Kapinos, the darkly comic supernatural series is based on the Neil Gaiman-created Vertigo comic book character in which British actor Tom Ellis stars as the titular "the Lord of Hell," who is a womanizing nightclub owner who also works as a consultant for the LAPD.

Lauren German, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Kevin Alejandro, D. B. Woodside, Rachael Harris, and Aimee Garcia also co-star.

The series originally ran for three seasons on the FOX network before moving to Netflix. It has gained a substantial cult following, enough to extend Netflix's initial deal.

"Lucifer" will be coming to a close with ten all-new episodes. Season 6 is due to premiere on September 10th on Netflix.
