Check out the official trailer for Netflix's forthcoming September 11-related legal drama "Worth."

Based on true events and based on Kenneth Feinberg's heart-gripping memoir "What is Life Worth?," the film stars Michael Keaton as Kenneth Feinberg, a D.C. attorney who was appointed by the U.S. government to oversee the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund.

Passed into legislation shortly after the September 11th attacks in 2001, the fund was created to compensate the victims of the attack and their families. Feinberg was put in charge to calculate how much each family would be compensated, essentially coming up with an appropriate monetary value for each victim. Feinberg used a detailed mathematical formula and a list of eight classifications to come up with a number. Suffice it to say, family members weren't overjoyed. No one seemed to be pleased about this emotionally arduous process.

In addition to Keaton, the film also stars Stanley Tucci, Amy Ryan, Tate Donovan, Laura Benanti, and Talia Balsam.

Directed by filmmaker Sara Colangelo (The Kindergarten Teacher, Little Accidents) and written by Max Borenstein (2014's Godzilla, co-creator of horror anthology series The Terror), "Worth" premieres on September 3rd, only on Netflix.
