The official trailer has been released for "Chucky," the upcoming horror television series based on the popular "Child's Play" killer-doll film franchise, which will be serving as a continuation of 2017's "Cult of Chucky."
Hailing from franchise creator Don Mancini, the darkly comic horror series centers on a young socially awkward teenage boy (played by Zackary Arthur) who stumbles across an infamous 'Good Guy' doll at a local yard sale in a small suburban town. The boy soon discovers that this particular vintage 'Chucky' doll has a mind of its own. And it has homicidal impulses that need to be acted on.
Franchise actor Brad Dourif has returned as the voice of Chucky. Other cast members include Alyvia Alyn Lind (Daybreak), Bjorgvin Arnarson (PEN15), Teo Briones (Wind River), and Lexa Doig (Continuum). Meanwhile, a couple of characters from the franchise are also expected to appear in the series.
"Chucky: the Series" will be premiering on October 12th both on the SYFY channel and the USA Network.

Soon, everyone must grapple with a series of horrifying murders that begin to expose the town's deep hypocrisies and hidden secrets.
