These are the stories that feature your favorite Marvel characters but giving them a multiverse twist. For example, what if Peggy Carter became Captain America instead of Steve Rogers? What if T'Challa ended up being Star-Lord instead of becoming Black Panther? What if Tony Stark teamed up with Killmonger before he became Ironman? And ... Howard the Duck, the WTF?

Check out the official trailer for "What If ...," Disney-Marvel's new streaming animated anthology series based on the multiverse comic book, in which Jeffrey Wright serves as host and narrator as the voice of The Watcher.

The animated series will feature a slew of guest voices, including Hayley Atwell as Captain Peggy Carter; Chadwick Boseman as Starlord T'Challa; Chris Hemsworth as Thor; Tom Hiddleston as Loki; Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark; Josh Brolin as Thanos; Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, and so on.

Produced by showrunner A.C. Bradley, Marvel's "What If..." is scheduled to premiere on August 11th, only on Disney Plus. Watch the trailer, above.
