A brand-new official trailer has been released for the upcoming "G.I. Joe" spin-off that stars Henry Golding (from Crazy Rich Asians) as fan-favorite Ninja Commando "Snake Eyes."

The action film, which also stars Andrew Koji (Warrior) as Storm Shadow, Ursula Corbero (Money Heist) as The Baroness, and Samara Weaving (Ready or Not) as Scarlett, explores the mysterious origins of Snake Eyes, years before he became known as the silent masked ninja who is one of the original members of the G.I. Joe Team.

Mostly set in Japan, the film follows a young loner, codenamed Snake Eyes, as he finds himself joining an ancient ninja clan called the Arashikage where he is trained to be a skilled assassin. His loyalties are soon tested when he is asked to join a shadowy organization.

The cast also includes Haruka Abe (Giri/Haji) as Akiko; Tahehiro Hira (Hara-Kiri: Death of a Samurai) as Kenta; Iko Uwais (The Raid) as Hard Master and Peter Mensah (300) as Blind Master.

Directed by Robert Schwentke (Red, The Divergent Series: Insurgent & Allegiant), "Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins" is due to be released in theaters and IMAX on July 23rd.
