From Julia Ducournau, the writer-director of the cult French horror film "Raw," comes a new hyperkinetic thriller that appears to be drenched in equal parts weirdness and ferocity.

Check out the first official trailer for Ducournau's "Titane." It's a highly stylized thriller that stars veteran French actor Vincent Lindon (The Measure of a Man, Anything for Her) and French newcomer Agathe Rousselle.

The plot of the film is being kept under wraps. But judging by the trailer, "Titane" appears to be soaked in neon lights. It's possibly a revenge crime thriller with elements of horror, mystery, and French nihilism. So, in other words, it's destined for cult status.

"Titane" is making its world premiere in a couple of weeks, next month at the Cannes Film Festival. Neon, the U.S. distribution company behind the Oscar-winning Korean film " Parasite," will distribute the film in the U.S. As of yet, there's no official release date.
