Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt embark on a great adventure across the Amazonian river in the new official trailer for Disney's long-delayed action-adventure movie "Jungle Cruise."

The film, which was delayed and pushed back a year because of the pandemic, will finally be released this summer both in theaters and on Disney Plus with Premier Access.

Inspired by the classic Disneyland theme park ride of the same name, the early 20th century-set film casts Johnson as a brawny riverboat captain who has agreed to take a feisty English explorer (played by Blunt) on a perilous journey across the jungle river in search of a fabled tree with supposed healing powers.

The cast also includes Jack Whitehall, Paul Giamatti, Jesse Plemons, and Edgar Ramirez.

Spanish-born action helmer Jaume Collet-Serra (The Shallows, The Commuter, and Non-Stop) directed the movie. Collet-Serra is currently working with Johnson again for the upcoming DC superhero movie "Black Adam."

"Jungle Cruise" is being released in theaters on July 30th. It will also be available on-demand on the streaming service Disney Plus with Premier Access.
