The official trailer has been released for the upcoming STARZ original series based on the 2018 film "Blindspotting" from Rafael Casal and Daveed Diggs.
The series serves as a continuation of Jasmine Cephas Jones's character Ashley. She is a working-class mother of a young boy living in Oakland.
Rafael Casal reprises his role of Miles from the original film. Miles is Ashley's partner of 12 years and the father of their son, Sean. When Miles is arrested and sent to prison, Ashley is forced to move in with Miles' mother. She is played here by Oscar-and-Emmy winner Helen Hunt.
Infusing music with dramatic and comedic situations, "Blindspotting: the Series" is a half-hour dramedy executive produced by Casal and Diggs with Casal serving as the showrunner.
"Blindspotting" is set to premiere on June 13th on the STARZ network. Watch the trailer, above.
