It was merely days away from opening in theaters in March of last year. It even had a world premiere in New York City. Man, what a difference a year of a global pandemic makes.

Now scheduled to be released in theaters later this month, check out the newly released final trailer for "A Quiet Place Part II," the eagerly anticipated sequel to the post-apocalyptic monster-horror blockbuster from actor/filmmaker John Krasinski.

Emily Blunt returns as Evelyn Abbott, the fearless mother of two. As well as Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe who play Evelyn's young hearing-impaired daughter and son, Regan and Marcus Abbott.

Taking place after the events of the 2018 film, Evelyn and her children, Regan and Marcus, and her newborn son Abbott must step out into the world for the first time since "Day 1" of the apocalypse. They get to see firsthand how the world has devolved into a hostile and dangerous place with people who may be equally hostile and dangerous.

Cillian Murphy (Dunkirk, 28 Days Later) and Djimon Hounsou (Shazam!, Captain Marvel) join the cast as new post-apocalyptic survivors who end up crossing paths with Evelyn and her children. The question is, can they be trusted?

Krasinski (who is Blunt's real-life husband) is once again behind the camera, serving as director and writer based on characters created by Bryan Woods and Scott Beck.

"A Quiet Place Part II" is arriving in theaters on May 28th, just in time for the Memorial Day holiday weekend. And 45 days later, the film will be available to stream on the streaming service Paramount Plus.

synopsis:
