Lucifer has daddy issues. But is he fit to take over his father's job?

Check out the official trailer for Part 2 of Season 5 of the cult Netflix series "Lucifer," which is based on the DC Vertigo comic book character created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg.

The darkly satirical supernatural series, which originally ran for three seasons on the FOX network before moving to Netflix, stars British actor Tom Ellis as the titular "the Lord of Hell."

In this story, Lucifer is a womanizing nightclub owner who also works as a consultant for the LAPD. Over several seasons, Lucifer has found himself forming a quasi-family with a close-knit group of homicide detectives. Lucifer has also become more sensitive to human issues, making him nearly qualified to take over his father's profession. -- His father is, of course, God (played here by 24's Dennis Haysbert). And he is actually thinking about retiring soon. However, Lucifer's twin brother, Michael (also played by Tom Ellis), is making plans of his own to steal the job from under Lucifer's nose.

Created and executive produced by Tom Kapinos and also starring Lauren German, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Kevin Alejandro, D. B. Woodside, Rachael Harris, and Aimee Garcia, "Lucifer: Season 5 - Part 2" will consist of eight new episodes. And it is set to premiere on May 28th on Netflix.

synopsis:
Lucifer is back and acting...strange. Get ready -- this season all your desires will be fulfilled. Lucifer makes a tumultuous return, Chloe rethinks romance, Ella finally finds a nice guy, and Amenadiel adjusts to the whole fatherhood thing.
