Angelina Jolie comes to the rescue of a small boy in the first official trailer for "Those Who Wish Me Dead," the new crime action-thriller directed by "Sicario" and "Yellowstone" creator Taylor Sheridan.

Based on Michael Koryta's novel of the same name, the film sees Jolie as a fearless smoke jumper/firefighter named Hannah.

When a 12-year-old boy's father is suddenly killed by elite assassins, he is forced to escape into the forest. With armed hitmen nipping at his heels, the boy soon bumps into Hannah. She immediately becomes the boy's guardian angel as she goes up against a squad of assassins. But things get progressively more dangerous when the killers ignite a raging forest fire.

In addition to Jolie, the film also stars Finn Little, Nicholas Hoult, Aiden Gillen, Tyler Perry, Jake Weber, Jon Bernthal, and Medina Senghore.

"Those Who Wish Me Dead" is scheduled to open in theaters on May 14th. It will also simultaneously premiere on the streaming service HBO MAX. Watch the trailer, above.
