Here's a new official sneak peek at the eagerly anticipated new chapter in the "Ghostbusters" film universe, offering viewers a look at a miniature "Stay Puft" marshmallow man ... or rather marshmallow men.

Serving as the direct sequel to the original "Ghostbusters" films, "Ghostbusters: Afterlife" hails from Oscar-nominated director Jason Reitman (Juno, Up in the Air), who is the son of legendary "Ghostbusters" director Ivan Reitman.

Paul Rudd costars in the upcoming film as a local school teacher. And judging by this new clip, he will have a strange and hostile encounter with some tiny Stay Puft marshmallow men. Yikes!

Starring Mckenna Grace (I Tonya), Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things), and Carrie Coon (The Leftovers), the supernatural comedy sequel centers on a single mother and her young children as they move into their deceased grandfather's abandoned farmhouse, only to discover their late grandpa had a close connection to the now-nearly forgotten event called "Manhattan Crossrip of 1984."

"Ghostbusters: Afterlife" was originally slated to open in theaters in 2020. But it has been pushed back because of the pandemic. It's now scheduled for a Fall 2021 theatrical release.
