Meet the "Kast" of the new, upcoming film adaptation of the classic fantasy fight-tournament video game "Mortal Kombat."
In the official featurette, the cast members discuss how they approached portraying some of these classic video game characters that include Sub-Zero, Raiden, Scorpion, Sonya Blade, Jax, Kano, and many more.
Produced by filmmaker James Wan (Aquaman, The Conjuring, Saw), this is a gritty, bloody reboot version of the "Mortal Kombat" franchise, which follows several martial arts fighters as they find themselves participating in an inter-dimensional fight tournament on a mysterious island, competing against sadistic sorcerers, crime bosses and powerful black magic warriors in which the outcome will decide the fate of the world.
The cast includes Lewis Tan (Deadpool 2), Joe Taslim (The Raid: Redemption), Jessica McNamee (Sirens), Hiroyuki Sanada (The Wolverine), Josh Lawson (House of Lies), Mehcad Brooks (Supergirl), Ludi Lin (Power Rangers), Chin Han (Marco Polo), Nathan Jones (Mad Max: Fury Road), and more.
Acclaimed Australian commercial director Simon McQuoid directed the movie. It's his feature directorial debut.
"Mortal Kombat" is slated to be released in theaters and on HBO MAX beginning on April 23rd.

In MORTAL KOMBAT, MMA fighter Cole Young, accustomed to taking a beating for money, is unaware of his heritage -- or why Outworld's Emperor Shang Tsung has sent his best warrior, Sub-Zero, an otherworldly Cryomancer, to hunt Cole down. Fearing for his family's safety, Cole goes in search of Sonya Blade at the direction of Jax, a Special Forces Major who bears the same strange dragon marking Cole was born with. Soon, he finds himself at the temple of Lord Raiden, an Elder God and the protector of Earthrealm, who grants sanctuary to those who bear the mark. Here, Cole trains with experienced warriors Liu Kang, Kung Lao, and rogue mercenary Kano, as he prepares to stand with Earth's greatest champions against the enemies of Outworld in a high-stakes battle for the universe. But will Cole be pushed hard enough to unlock his arcana -- the immense power from within his soul -- in time to save not only his family, but to stop Outworld once and for all?
