The Girlfriend Experience: Season 3 — Official Trailer

The official trailer has been released for Season 3 of the Starz anthology series "The Girlfriend Experience," which is executive produced by filmmaker Steven Soderbergh, based on his 2009 film of the same name.

This new season of the provocative sex worker drama takes place in London against the tech and entrepreneurship scene. And it stars Julia Goldani Telles (from the Showtime series "The Affair") as Iris, a young neuroscience major who secretly moonlights as a high-end call girl.

Set to premiere on May 2nd on Starz, "The Girlfriend Experience: Season 3" is created by German-born filmmaker Anja Marquardt, who previously made 2015's sex surrogate drama "She's Lost Control." Marquardt directed and wrote the entire season.

Known as GFEs, they are women who provide "The Girlfriend Experience" -- emotional and sexual relationships at a high price.

THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE: SEASON 3 is set amidst the London tech scene and focuses on Iris, a neuroscience major. As she begins to explore the transactional world of The Girlfriend Experience, Iris quickly learns that her client sessions provide her with a compelling edge in the tech world and vice versa. She then begins to question whether her actions are driven by free will, or something else altogether, and heads down a deep path of exploration.
