Guy Pearce plays a hardened exorcist in the official trailer for the new horror thriller "The Seventh Day."

The "L.A. Confidential" star plays a veteran exorcist priest who takes a rookie priest under his wing as he walks him through the frightening world of demon possession.

Playing the rookie priest is Mexican actor Vadhir Derbez (son of Mexican comedian Eugenio Derbez). The movie also features appearances by Keith David and Stephen Lang.

The film is written and directed by Justin P. Lange, who previously made the 2018 Austrian horror movie "The Dark."

"The Seventh Day" is being released on March 26th. Watch the trailer, above.
