Check out the official Superbowl spot for "F9," the highly-anticipated ninth film in the popular "Fast & Furious" series from Universal Studios.

The action sequel -- which once again stars Vin Diesel as former street race driver-turned-anti-hero Dominic Toretto -- was initially scheduled to be released last summer but was delayed due to the quarantine. The release date has now been pushed back, and if everything goes as planned, the film will be released this summer (fingers crossed).

Directed by Justin Lin, who returns to the car-driven franchise for the first time since helming 2013's "Fast & Furious 6," the new "Fast" movie sees Dominic (Diesel) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) living a peaceful life as they are more focused on raising their now toddler-aged son "Brian."

But it seems Dominic can't quite escape his past -- especially now that Dominic's long-lost evil brother, Jakob Toretto (played by WWE superstar John Cena), has suddenly come back into the picture to wreak havoc on Dominic and his Fast "family." So, it seems it's time to gear up for one more explosive ride. Fasten those seat belts.

"F9" also sees the return of Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Jason Tobin, with Helen Mirren coming back as Magdalene Shaw and Charlize Theron's back as Cipher. And oh yeah, Han (Sung Kang) is back from the dead! Because why not!

synopsis:
Vin Diesel’s Dom Toretto is leading a quiet life off the grid with Letty and his son, little Brian, but they know that danger always lurks just over their peaceful horizon. This time, that threat will force Dom to confront the sins of his past if he's going to save those he loves most. His crew joins together to stop a world-shattering plot led by the most skilled assassin and high-performance driver they’ve ever encountered: a man who also happens to be Dom's forsaken brother, Jakob (John Cena)...
