Check out the official U.S. trailer for Season 2 of "A Discovery Of Witches," the British supernatural fantasy series based on the best-selling "All Souls" trilogy by novelist Deborah Harkness.

The series stars Australian actress Teresa Palmer (Hacksaw Ridge) as Diana Bishop, a brilliant American historian in England who uncovers a hidden supernatural world when she discovers that she, herself, comes from a long line of witches.

English actor Matthew Goode (Downton Abbey, The Imitation Game) also stars as Matthew Clairmont, a biochemist who also happens to be a vampire.

Matthew and Diana become unlikely allies after they unearthed an ancient, rare magical manuscript that details the centuries-old rivalry between vampires and witches. Season 2 will find Diana and Matthew magically traveling back in time to the year 1590 in Elizabethan London. Diana must fulfill her destiny and become the most powerful witch the world has ever seen.

Ed Bluemel, Alex Kingston, Valarie Pettiford, Lindsay Duncan, Aiysha Hart, and Daniel Ezra co-star.

"A Discovery Of Witches: Season 2" will be premiering in the U.S. on the AMC-owned streaming services Shudder and Sundance beginning on January 9th.
