The official U.S. trailer has been released for the acclaimed Danish drama "Another Round," in which Mads Mikkelsen reunites with "The Hunt" director Thomas Vinterberg and "The Hunt" screenwriter Tobias Lindholm.

The film, which premiered to strong reviews at this year's Toronto International Film Festival, centers on four middle-age friends, all school teachers, who agree to conduct a philosophical experiment based on the idea that daily consumption of alcohol results in a more relaxed and pleasurable lifestyle.

What they all discover, and what many have already surmised, is that getting moderately drunk every day is no way to live. And it's merely masking the deeper issues plaguing their personal lives.

The film, which is directed and co-written by acclaimed Danish filmmaker Thomas Vinterberg (Far from the Madding Crowd, The Celebration, The Hunt), also stars Magnus Millang, Thomas Bo Larsen, and Lars Ranthe.

"Another Round" is being released in U.S. theaters on December 4th, before arriving on Digital on December 18th.

synopsis:
Four friends, all teachers at various stages of middle age, are stuck in a rut. Unable to share their passions either at school or at home, they embark on an audacious experiment from an obscure philosopher: to see if a constant level of alcohol in their blood will help them find greater freedom and happiness. At first they each find a new-found zest, but as the gang pushes their experiment further, issues that have been simmering for years come to a head and the men are faced with a choice: reckon with their behavior or continue on the same course.
