The official trailer has been released for Season 2 of the British supernatural fantasy series "A Discovery Of Witches," starring Australian actress Teresa Palmer (Hacksaw Ridge) and English actor Matthew Goode (Watchmen).

The series, which is based on the best-selling "All Souls" trilogy by novelist Deborah Harkness, tells the epic journey of Diana Bishop (Palmer), a brilliant American historian in England. She uncovers a hidden supernatural world when she discovers that she, herself, comes from a long line of witches.

When Diana unearths an ancient, rare magical manuscript that was tucked away in one of England's oldest and largest libraries, she becomes an unlikely ally to Matthew Clairmont (Goode), a charming geneticist who just so happens to be a vampire. This is odd considering that since the beginning of time vampires and witches have been sworn enemies.

In Season 2, Diana and Matthew will magically travel back in time to the year 1590 as Diana must fulfill her destiny and become the most powerful witch the world has ever seen.

Co-starring Ed Bluemel, Adelle Leonce, and Steven Cree, "A Discovery Of Witches: Season 2" will premiere in January 2021 on the Sky network in the U.K. with a U.S. release to follow on AMC, Shudder, and BBC America.
