Robert De Niro is a shady movie producer in the first official trailer for the upcoming crime comedy "The Comeback Trail."

A remake of the 1982 film of the same name, De Niro stars as an unsuccessful film producer. Morgan Freeman co-stars as a local mob boss, and Tommy Lee Jones as an aging cowboy star.

Because he owes a great deal of money to the mob (Freeman), De Niro's character comes up with an ill-conceived insurance-fraud scheme: He starts production on a new western film where he forces his star (Jones) to perform his own death-defying stunts in the hope of collecting the insurance money when he "accidentally" dies on the set. But when the movie star proves hard to kill, the scheme goes from desperate to ridiculously complicated.

Co-starring Zach Braff, Emile Hirsch, and Eddie Griffin, "The Comeback Trail" is directed and co-written by George Gallo, screenwriter of the classic 1988 De Niro-starring bounty hunter comedy "Midnight Run."

"The Comeback Trail" is scheduled to open in theaters on November 13th.
