Katherine Langford (13 Reasons Why, Cursed) and Charlie Plummer (Looking for Alaska, Words on Bathroom Walls) star in this new mind-blowing teenage dramedy about a deadly supernatural phenomenon that unexpectedly sweeps through a typical suburban high school, which forces the government to quarantine the entire school.

Check out the first official trailer for "Spontaneous," the darkly comic love story about two high school seniors, Mara (Langford) and Dylan (Plummer), who develop a special relationship amid a strange occurrence in which random teenage students are inexplicably killed when their heads explode without warning.

Co-starring Yvonne Orji, Hayley Law, Rob Huebel, and Piper Perabo, the film, which is based on Aaron Starmer's novel of the same name, is written and directed by screenwriter Brian Duffield (The Babysitter, Underwater), and it's Duffield's directorial debut.

"Spontaneous" is scheduled to be released in theaters on October 2nd. It will also be available for Premium Video-On-Demand and for Digital purchase on October 6th. Watch the trailer, above.
