A musically gifted teenager with big dreams tries to remain optimistic even though she currently sleeps in a school bus with her recently unemployed mother in this inspirational high school drama for Netflix.

Check out the official trailer for "All Together Now," the new Netflix original film that stars Auli'i Cravalho (Moana, The Little Mermaid Live!) as a homeless high school student who is trying to get into the college of her dreams, despite several financial and emotional obstacles.

Also, co-starring Rhenzy Feliz, Justina Machado, Judy Reyes with Fred Armisen and Carol Burnett, the film is based on the best-selling novel "Sorta Like A Rock Star" by "The Silver Linings Playbook" author Matthew Quick.

The film is directed by filmmaker Brett Haley, who previously made the Elle Fanning-starring Netflix teen drama "All the Bright Places" and the Nick Offerman-Kiersey Clemons father-daughter dramedy "Hearts Beat Loud."

"All Together Now" is scheduled to premiere on August 28th on Netflix. Watch the trailer, above.

Amber Appleton (Auli'i Cravalho) remains an optimist even when her personal life is far less stable than it appears on the surface. A musically gifted high school student with aspirations to attend Carnegie Mellon, Amber balances work, life, and some tough life secrets with a smile. But when new obstacles present themselves that threaten her dreams, Amber must learn to lean on the strength of her chosen family to move forward.
