Check out a brand-new 30-second commercial for the long-delayed superhero horror movie "The New Mutants."
The film, which is based on the Marvel X-Men-spinoff comic book series of the same name and inspired by the stories by writer Chris Claremont and artist Bill Sienkiewicz, stars Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch), Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones), Charlie Heaton (Stranger Things), Henry Zaga (Teen Wolf), and Blu Hunt (The Originals) with Alice Braga (Queen of the South).
Directed and co-written by Josh Boone (The Fault in Our Stars), "The New Mutants" follows a ragtag group of troubled teenagers with mutant powers who find themselves secretly kept in a remote medical facility. They band together in an attempt to escape.
Filmed years ago, the FOX film has been long-delayed due to a slew of reasons, one of which included the current Covid-19 lockdown. The studio is now planning to release the film in theaters on August 28th -- of course, that date is subject to change.

20th Century Fox in association with Marvel Entertainment presents "The New Mutants," an original horror thriller set in an isolated hospital where a group of young mutants is being held for psychiatric monitoring. When strange occurrences begin to take place, both their new mutant abilities and their friendships will be tested as they battle to try and make it out alive.
