It's a new world. New threats. New challenges. There's new superheroes and new super-powered terrorists. War is imminent. So, yeah, The Boys have a lot on their hands. And they just can't kill everybody... But they're going to try. They're going to try real hard.

Check out the official full-length trailer for Season 2 of Amazon's ultra-violent, dark superhero satire "The Boys," which stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Laz Alonso, Karen Fukuhara, and Tomer Kapon as members of an underground team of anti-superhero vigilantes, known as The Boys.

Season 2 finds Billy Butcher (Urban) as he reunites with his 'Boys' team after discovering his wife is still alive. Falsely deemed terrorists, they are now wanted by the government. They plan a counterattack. They aim to take down The Seven, the world's most famous, yet most corrupt superhero team, which is led by a homicidal Superman-like figure, named Homelander (played by Antony Starr). And yeah, you better believe that it's going get messy and really, really bloody.

Executive produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg and produced by showrunner Eric Kripke (Supernatural), the Amazon original series also stars Erin Moriarty, Chace Crawford, Jessie T. Usher, Dominique McElligott, Nathan Mitchell with Colby Minifie, Giancarlo Esposito, and Shantel VanSanten. Aya Cash has also been added to the cast as a new media-savvy superhero named Stormfront.

Based on the comic book series by "Preacher" creator Garth Ennis, "The Boys: Season 2" is premiering September 4th, only on Amazon Prime Video. Watch the trailer, above.
