The Amazon original series, which is based on the comic book of the same name by "Preacher" creator Garth Ennis, centers on the members of an underground team of anti-superhero vigilantes as they try to bring down a nefarious, yet super-popular superhero superteam.
Set in a contemporary world where genetically engineered superheroes have been corrupted by fame and power, the streaming drama is a darkly comic take on the superhero genre, reinventing the comic book tropes.
Executive produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, and produced by showrunner Eric Kripke (Supernatural), "The Boys" stars Urban, Jack Quaid, Laz Alonso, Karen Fukuhara, and Tomer Kapon with Antony Starr, Dominique McElligott, Erin Moriarty, Chace Crawford, and Jessie T. Usher.
"The Boys: Season 2" is to premiere September 4th, only on Amazon Prime.
