Comedian Jason Sudeikis is an American college football instructor who travels to England where he becomes the new head coach of a professional soccer team, despite having no experience coaching soccer.

Check out the official trailer for "Ted Lasso," the upcoming sports comedy series for Apple TV Plus.

Inspired by Jason Sudeikis' Ted Lasso character that was featured in a series of NBC Sports promos that aired during their coverage of the Premier League, the series is co-created by Sudeikis and "Scrubs" creator Bill Lawrence.

The series also stars Stephen Manas, Colin Blyth, Brendan Hunt, Hannah Waddingham, Bronson Webb, and Lampros Kalfuntzos.

"Ted Lasso" is due to premiere on August 14th, exclusively on Apple TV Plus.
