The official teaser trailer has been released for Season 2 of Amazon's ultra-violent, dark superhero satire "The Boys," which is based on the comic book series by "Preacher" creator Garth Ennis.

Featuring Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Laz Alonso, Karen Fukuhara, and Tomer Kapon as the members of an underground team of anti-superhero vigilantes, the Amazon original series is set in a contemporary world where genetically engineered superheroes have been corrupted by fame and power.

Season 2 picks up directly after the finale of Season 1. Billy Butcher (Urban) has gone missing, while every member of "the Boys" is now wanted by the government. They are forced to go on the run, hiding from homicidal Superman-like figure Homelander (Antony Starr) who is the leader of the super-famous, yet corrupt superteam, The Seven.

Co-starring Erin Moriarty, Chace Crawford, Jessie T. Usher, Dominique McElligott, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie, Giancarlo Esposito, Shantel VanSanten, and Aya Cash, "The Boys" is executive produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg and produced by showrunner Eric Kripke (Supernatural).

"The Boys: Season 2" premieres September 4th, only on Amazon Prime Video.
