Amazon has unveiled an early sneak-peek clip from Season 2 of the dark superhero satire "The Boys."
The clip offers the first look at "You're the Worst" actress Aya Cash as the new social-media-famous superhero "Stormfront." She is the newest member to join the nefarious, yet super-popular superhero superteam, The Seven. The team is led by the homicidal Superman-like figure Homelander (played here by Antony Starr) and the complicit Wonder Woman-like Queen Maeve (Dominique McElligott).
Based on the comic book series by "Preacher" creator Garth Ennis, "The Boys" is a darkly comic, ultra-violent superhero series that takes place in a contemporary world where genetically engineered superheroes have been corrupted by fame and power.
Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Laz Alonso, Karen Fukuhara, and Tomer Kapon star as the members of an underground team of anti-superhero vigilantes. Meanwhile, Erin Moriarty, Chace Crawford, and Jessie T. Usher play the other members of The Seven.
Executive produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, and produced by showrunner Eric Kripke (Supernatural), "The Boys" is expected to return with its second season on September 4th, only on Amazon Prime.
