In the cutthroat world of high finance and trade, no one is your friend and no one should be trusted. But that doesn't mean you can't work with your enemies or your enemies can't work for you.

Hedge-fund billionaire Bobby Axelrod (Damian Lewis) is back for another season of the hit Showtime series "Billions," and this time, he comes out and admits to everyone of being a "monster ... a carnivorous monster!" One who desperately needs "power." And one who needs it to feel alive ... "maybe even to be alive."

Season 5 will see Axelrod (Lewis) going up against a new rival, an invading business mogul named Michael Prince, played by House of Cards' Corey Stoll, who joins the cast of the new season.

Meanwhile, power-hungry U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades (Paul Giamatti), Axelrod's on-again-off-again number-one foe, is finding himself in a bitter entanglement with a formidable district attorney, played by Nip/Tuck's Roma Maffia.

Maggie Siff is also back as Wendy Rhoades, Axelrod's corporate therapist and business partner who is also Chuck's now estranged wife. Also back is breakout star Asia Kate Dillon in the groundbreaking role of Taylor Mason, a non-binary financial genius who has found themselves back at Axe Capital, forced to work under Axelrod after a failed corporate coup.

Emmy-winner Julianna Margulies (ER, The Good Wife) has joined the cast of Season 5. She plays Catherine Brant, an esteemed sociology professor and best-selling author who becomes one of Chuck's main advisers.

Co-created and co-executive produced by screenwriters David Levien and Brian Koppelman (Ocean's Thirteen and Rounders), "Billions: Season 5" is set to premiere May 3rd on Showtime. Watch the trailer, above.

The stakes are in the billions in this timely, provocative series.

In season five of BILLIONS, Bobby Axelrod (Lewis) and Chuck Rhoades (Giamatti) see their vicious rivalry reignited, while new enemies rise and take aim. Social impact pioneer Mike Prince (Corey Stoll) poses a true threat to Axe's dominance, and Chuck feuds with a formidable district attorney (Roma Maffia). Taylor Mason (Asia Kate Dillon) is forced back to Axe Capital, where Taylor must fight to protect their employees and their assets.
