Go behind the scenes with filmmaker Cary Joji Fukunaga and get a peek at "No Time to Die," the upcoming 25th entry in the long-running spy-action film franchise.

"For me as the writer and the director, it was essential to rediscover Bond," Fukunaga says in this newly released behind-the-scenes featurette. "Where is he? After five years of retirement, who has he become?"

The film also marks Daniel Craig's fifth and final outing as the iconic British super-agent James Bond. And this time, Bond is going up against a mysterious mastermind villain with a scarred face, named "Safin" (played by Oscar-winning "Bohemian Rhapsody" star Rami Malek).

Fukunaga, who had earned an Emmy trophy in 2014 for directing the award-winning first season of the HBO crime series "True Detective," makes his James Bond debut with "No Time to Die," which adds Lashana Lynch (Captain Marvel) and Ana de Armas (Knives Out) to the cast.

Returning Bond cast members Lea Seydoux, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, and Jeffrey Wright are back for another go-around, while Christoph Waltz has also returned as the "Spectre" villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld.

"No Time to Die" opens in theaters in October 2021.
