To prove his bravery, Dev Patel goes on a perilous quest in the first official teaser trailer for the upcoming medieval fantasy film "The Green Knight," which hails from acclaimed writer-director David Lowery, of "The Old Man & the Gun" and "Pete's Dragon" fame.
Based on the classic Arthurian tale "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight," the film casts the "Slumdog Millionaire" actor as Sir Gawain, a knight of King Arthur's Round Table, who sets off on a fantastical odyssey in search of a mystical green knight.
The Green Knight has challenged any courageous knight to strike him down. Though there's a twist! If anyone dares to accept his challenge, the Green Knight is obliged to come back in a year's time to return the favor.
In addition to Patel, the film also stars Alicia Vikander, Joel Edgerton, Sean Harris, Kate Dickie, Barry Keoghan, and Ralph Ineson.
