The Letter for the King — Official Teaser

The first official teaser has been released for Netflix's new medieval fantasy-adventure teen series "The Letter for the King," which is based on the classic 1962 Dutch novel by Tonke Dragt.

The Netflix original series centers on a young squire (played by Amir Wilson, from "His Dark Materials") who is tasked with a dangerous and secret mission -- he must embark on a cross-country journey to deliver an urgent letter to the King, just as war looms.

The cast of the series also includes Dutch actor Gijs Blom as war-hungry Prince Viridian.

"Lord of the Rings" star Andy Serkis is also co-starring in the forthcoming series, alongside his real-life daughter, Ruby Ashbourne Serkis.

Written by screenwriter Will Davies (How to Train Your Dragon, Johnny English) and produced by Paul Trijbits (Saving Mr. Banks, Sing Street), "The Letter for the King" is scheduled to premiere March 20th on Netflix.
