Josh Hartnett travels to Thailand to investigate a government-connected drug-smuggling ring in the trailer for the upcoming Canadian crime thriller "Target Number One."

Inspired by a true story in 1989, the film follows three interconnected stories, one of which follows an investigative newspaper reporter (Hartnett) as he travels to Bangkok to interview a supposedly big-time Canadian drug dealer (played by Mommy's Antoine Olivier Pilon).

When this "big-time drug dealer" turns out to be merely a scared Canadian kid who has been locked up for smuggling drugs into Thailand, the reporter realizes he has just uncovered a huge news story that may directly implicate the Canadian government.

Co-starring Jim Gaffigan, J.C. MacKenzie, and Stephen McHattie, "Target Number One" is written and directed by Canadian filmmaker Daniel Roby (White Skin, Louis Cyr, Versailles).

"Target Number One" is being released theatrically in Canada on April 24th. As of yet, the film doesn't have an official U.S. release date.
