"Hunger Games" star Liam Hemsworth plays a terminally-ill man who has agreed to play a deadly 24-hour game in the first official teaser for the upcoming action-thriller web series "Most Dangerous Game."

Directed by TV helmer Phil Abraham (Daredevil, Mad Men) and written by Nick Santora (creator of TV's Scorpion), the streaming series centers on Dodge Maynard (Hemsworth), a happily-married family man who is dying from a brain tumor.

Dodge is in desperate need of finances to pay off medical bills for him and his pregnant wife. He finds a shady businessman (played by Oscar-winner Christoph Waltz) who offers him an opportunity to make some serious money. He agrees. But, now, Dodge is caught in a deadly underground game, where he must run across the city on foot while being hunted down by mysterious hunters. If he is able to survive 24 hours, he is looking to make 24 million dollars. Let the games begin!

"Most Dangerous Game" is being released on April 6 on Quibi, the brand-new subscription-based video app service founded by former DreamWorks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg.

Quibi is offering "quick bites" (short-form web series) that will stream on mobile devices, which have been designed to fit perfectly on portrait or landscape mode.
