A brand-new official trailer has been released for "The Invisible Man," Blumhouse's new re-imagining of the classic Universal monster movie based on the H.G. Wells novel about a fiercely driven scientist who created a way of becoming invisible.

In this modern-day version, Emmy-winning "The Handmaid's Tale" star Elisabeth Moss plays a terrorized woman who believes her abusive scientist ex-boyfriend has faked his own death and is now invisible and stalking her. Although, her friends don't quite believe that she is in danger, and they assume she might be having a mental breakdown.

Oliver Jackson-Cohen (The Haunting of Hill House) plays the titular invisible man, while Aldis Hodge (Straight Outta Compton), Storm Reid (Euphoria), and Michael Dorman (For All Mankind) round out the cast.

Australian-born actor/filmmaker Leigh Whannell, who co-created the "Saw" franchise and most recently directed last year's cult sci-fi action thriller "Upgrade," writes and directs this Blumhouse-produced horror pic.

"The Invisible Man" arrives in theaters on February 28th.

synopsis:
What you can't see can hurt you. Emmy winner Elisabeth Moss stars in a terrifying modern tale of obsession inspired by Universal's classic monster character.

Trapped in a violent, controlling relationship with a wealthy and brilliant scientist, Cecilia Kass (Moss) escapes in the dead of night and disappears into hiding, aided by her sister (Harriet Dyer), their childhood friend (Aldis Hodge) and his teenage daughter (Storm Reid).

But when Cecilia's abusive ex (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) commits suicide and leaves her a generous portion of his vast fortune, Cecilia suspects his death was a hoax. As a series of eerie coincidences turns lethal, threatening the lives of those she loves, Cecilia's sanity begins to unravel as she desperately tries to prove that she is being hunted by someone nobody can see.
