They made him but they can't control him.

Vin Diesel stars as a newly-resurrected super-mercenary with powers of regeneration in the upcoming superhero action film "Bloodshot," for which a new official trailer has been released.

This Sony feature is based on the best-selling 1990s comic book series of the same name from Valiant Comics, and it casts the "Fast and Furious" action star as Ray Garrison, a slain military soldier who, after being killed in action, is revived by corporate scientists through the use of nano-tech to serve as a super-soldier for a corporate-run army.

When Garrison realizes these scientists have erased and altered his past memories, he retaliates by going rogue. He then finds himself facing off against his fellow brainwashed super-soldiers, played here by Outlander's Sam Heughan, Baby Driver's Eiza Gonzalez, and UnREAL's Alex Hernandez.

Guy Pearce (Iron Man 3) also co-stars as the main scientist who brought Vin Diesel back from the dead. Lamorne Morris (TV's New Girl) also co-stars as a lab technician, while Toby Kebbell (Kong: Skull Island) rounds out the cast.

Video game and visual effects artist David S.F. Wilson makes his feature directorial debut with "Bloodshot," which is scheduled to hit theaters on March 13th. Watch the new trailer, above.

synopsis:
Based on the bestselling Valiant comic book, Vin Diesel stars as Ray Garrison, a soldier recently killed in action and brought back to life as the superhero BLOODSHOT by the RST corporation. With an army of nanotechnology in his veins, he's an unstoppable force -- stronger than ever and able to heal instantly. But in controlling his body, the company has sway over his mind and memories, too. Now, Ray doesn't know what's real and what's not -- but he's on a mission to find out.
