Juliette Lewis investigates a missing-person case in the first official teaser trailer for "Sacred Lies: The Singing Bones."

In this new crime anthology series for Facebook Watch, the "Natural Born Killers" actress plays an intrepid investigator trying to find information regarding the mysterious disappearance of a "Jane Doe" teen girl.

"There are 40,000 unidentified bodies across the country," Lewis says in the above teaser. "People either don't report them missing, don't know they're gone or don't care enough to look."

Inspired by the Brothers Grimm tale "The Singing Bone," and real-life missing-person cases, the Facebook streaming series comes from Blumhouse Productions and was created by "True Blood" producer-writer Raelle Tucker.

Juliette Lewis leads the cast of the anthology series, which also includes Ryan Kwanten, Emily Alyn Lind, Kimiko Glenn, and Siobhan Williams.

"Sacred Lies: The Singing Bones" will be released on Facebook beginning February 20, 2020.
