Shot with vintage VHS cameras, this offbeat comedy is primarily a series of unusual sketches parodying late-night 1980s infomercials, home-shopping segments and public-access call-in shows. (Think, "Tim and Eric" meets "The Chris Gethard Show.")

Operating under the bizarre premise of a 12-year-old kid who mistakenly records his favorite late-night shows over his parents' wedding tape, "VHYes" is an off-kilter retro comedy that features the outlandish performances from sketch comedians Kerri Kenney-Silver, Charlyne Yi, Thomas Lennon, Mark Proksch, Courtney Pauroso, and John Gemberling.

The film is directed and co-written by Jack Henry Robbins, who previously helmed the high school drama club comedy "Opening Night." He is also the son of Oscar-winners Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon, who both appear in the film.

"VHYes" is scheduled to open in select theaters on January 17th, via Oscilloscope Laboratories. Watch the official trailer, above.

synopsis:
A bizarre retro comedy shot entirely on VHS, VHYes takes us back to a simpler time, when twelve-year-old Ralph mistakenly records home videos and his favorite late night shows over his parents' wedding tape. The result is a nostalgic wave of home shopping clips, censored pornography, and nefarious true-crime tales that threaten to unkindly rewind Ralph's reality.
