Hulu has released the first official teaser trailer for "High Fidelity," the forthcoming streaming series based on Nick Hornby's 1995 novel of the same name about a record store owner.

In a gender flip, Zoe Kravitz (Big Little Lies, Fantastic Beasts) takes on the role of the record store owner and music aficionado who revisits her past failed relationships by compiling a list of her "all-time, top-five most memorable heartbreaks."

The Hulu series is also a loose remake of the 2000 John Cusack comedy of the same name, which was also based on Hornby's novel.

"Dolemite Is My Name" breakout Da'Vine Joy Randolph co-stars as one of Kravitz's record store employees. (Her character is very similar to the one that Jack Black played in the movie.)

The cast also includes David H. Holmes (Mr. Robot), Jake Lacy (Fosse/Verdon), and Kingsley Ben-Adir (Peaky Blinders).

Executive produced by Kravitz alongside showrunners Sarah Kucserka and Veronica West (Hart of Dixie, Ugly Betty), "High Fidelity" is due to premiere February 14, 2020, only on Hulu.

synopsis:
After 5 heartbreaks... it's finally time to face the music...

A departure from Nick Hornby's 1995 novel and beloved 2000 film, Hulu's High Fidelity centers on Rob (Zoe Kravitz, who also serves as an executive producer), a female record store owner in the rapidly gentrified neighborhood of Crown Heights, Brooklyn who revisits past relationships through music and pop culture, while trying to get over her one true love.
