It's the highly anticipated and highly secretive new action film from writer-director Christopher Nolan (Inception, Interstellar, Dunkirk, Batman Trilogy).

Check out the official trailer for Nolan's new mysterious opus "Tenet," which has only been described as "an action epic evolving from the world of international espionage, time travel, and evolution."

While mixing different genres from spy-action to mystery-thriller and possibly time travel as well, the film stars BlacKkKlansman's John David Washington as a skilled agent who appears to have been brought back from the dead. Now he is a part of a new secret agency and is tasked with a mission to prevent World War III, possibly involving the ability to manipulate time.

In addition to Washington, the cast also includes Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clemence Poesy, Michael Caine, Kenneth Branagh, and Martin Donovan.

"Tenet" is currently scheduled to hit theaters next summer in 2020.
