Amy Adams plays an agoraphobic woman who claims to have witnessed a possible murder from her apartment window in this psychological suspense thriller, for which an official trailer has been released.

In the vein of Alfred Hitchcock's classic "Rear Window," this voyeur thriller sees Adams as Dr. Anna Fox, a severely agoraphobic New York psychologist who befriends a neighbor from across the street (played here by Oscar-winner Julianne Moore).

One night, while spying on her neighbor from her window, Anna believes to have seen her friend get viciously stabbed by a mysterious intruder. But when she reports the crime to the police, Anna is shocked to find herself wrapped up in a conspiracy where no one wants to believe her, including her neighbor's dubious husband (played by Oscar-winner Gary Oldman).

Joe Wright, director of "Darkest Hour" and "Atonement," helmed the film, which is based on the novel of the same name by A. J. Finn.

The cast also includes Wyatt Russell, Brian Tyree Henry, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Anthony Mackie.

Actor/playwright Tracy Letts also co-stars, and wrote the film's adapted screenplay.

"The Woman in the Window" is due out in 2021. Watch the trailer, above.
