A brand-new official trailer has been released for "Bad Boys for Life," the long-awaited "Bad Boys" threequel, in which Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are back reprising their roles as Miami narcotic detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett.

The film is the third installment of the action buddy-cop franchise about the adrenaline-fueled crime-fighting exploits of two trigger-happy narcotic police officers.

This time around, Marcus is on the cusp of retirement, while Mike finds himself being targeted for death by a mysterious Miami crime lord. These two old partners agree to do one last final mission together as they enlist the help of a group of new police recruits, played here by Vanessa Hudgens (Spring Breakers), Alexander Ludwig (TV's Vikings), and Charles Melton (TV's Riverdale).

The cast also sees Joe Pantoliano back as Captain Conrad Howard.

Belgian-born filmmakers Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah (Black, TV's Snowfall) directed "Bad Boys for Life," which is slated to hit theaters January 17, 2020. Watch the new trailer, above.
