In the not-too-distant future where four percent of the world's population is born with varying supernatural abilities, a young man with electric superpowers finds himself joining a gang of professional criminals to pay his ill mother's costly medical bills.

Check out the new official full-length trailer for the sci-fi action thriller "Code 8," which is starring and executive produced by real-life cousins, Stephen Amell (star of CW's Arrow) and Robbie Amell (from CW's The Flash and FOX's The X-Files).

Co-starring Sung Kang (from the "Fast & Furious" franchise), the feature film is based on the 2016 short film of the same name, which was created as a proof-of-concept and also launched a successful crowdfunding campaign.

In a future world where superpowers are outlawed, Robbie Amell plays Connor, a young financially desperate man with special electric abilities who is recruited to join a gang of violent thieves (led by Stephen Amell). Connor is soon hunted down by a new militarized police force that includes high-tech drones and heavily-armed robot officers.

"Code 8" is directed by Jeff Chan and written by Chris Pare, the team behind the viral live-action video game short "Call of Duty: Operation Kingfish."

The film is being released in theaters and on VOD December 13th.
