CBS has released the first official teaser trailer for Season 3 of "Star Trek: Discovery."
The streaming sci-fi series stars Sonequa Martin-Green (The Walking Dead) as Michael Burnham, the science first officer of the U.S.S. Discovery.
When we last saw her, Michael had just traveled 930 years into the future due to a heroic act to save the world. Season 3 will show Michael trying to acclimate herself to her new futuristic surroundings as she tries to reunite with the rest of her Discovery crew members.
Season 3 has added British actor David Ajala (who played antihero Manchester Black in the CW series "Supergirl") to the cast. He plays Cleveland "Book" Booker, a pessimistic scientist in the future.
Returning cast members include Doug Jones (as alien first officer Saru), Anthony Rapp (as chief engineer Paul Stamets), Mary Wiseman (as science cadet Sylvia Tilly), Wilson Cruz (as medical officer Hugh Culber) and Michelle Yeoh (as Section 31 agent Philippa Georgiou).
"Star Trek: Discovery: Season 3" is scheduled to premiere early 2020 on the streaming service CBS All Access.
