Sarah Conner may have changed the future, but she didn't change our fate. Welcome to the day after Judgment Day!

Check out the brand-new official trailer for "Terminator: Dark Fate," the eagerly-anticipated new chapter of the "Terminator" film series, which sees the welcome return of Sarah Conner (Linda Hamilton) who roars back into action for the first time since 1991's "T2: Judgment Day."

The film, produced by James Cameron and directed by "Deadpool" director Tim Miller, has been set up as a direct sequel to the first two original Terminator films, while completely ignoring the other sequels just like if they never existed.

"Dark Fate" stars Mackenzie Davis (Blade Runner 2049, Black Mirror: San Junipero) as Grace, an "enhanced" human/cyborg super soldier who is sent from the future to modern-day Mexico. Her mission is to protect a new future-mother of the Resistance, named Dani Ramos (played here by Colombian actress Natalia Reyes). Grace and Dani receive help from a silver-haired badass Sarah Conner (Hamilton), who thought she had stop Judgment Day twenty-two years ago, but apparently she only delayed it.

Also helping out is an aging T-800 model (once again played by iconic action star Arnold Schwarzenegger) who seems to have been secretly living in this timeline for decades. He, of course, goes up against the new highly-advanced, black-liquid metal Terminator (Gabriel Luna) who appears to be unkillable and extremely deadly -- his whole body is a weapon!

The first of a planned new three-film trilogy, "Terminator: Dark Fate" is due to open in theaters on November 1st.
