The year is 1985. And New York City is the wild wild west. The mob and corruption are thriving and the streets are still dirty. But the porn film industry is transitioning into the home video market, and the AIDS epidemic is about to explode and decimate the New York gay community. The city is a powder keg waiting to go off. "To fix this, you have to tear it all down."

Check out the new official trailer for the third and final season of the critically acclaimed HBO series "The Deuce," which offers an unflinching snapshot of the gritty and smutty days of 1980s New York City.

Created, written and executive produced by award-winning "The Wire" creator David Simon and acclaimed crime novelist George Pelecanos, the HBO series stars Maggie Gyllenhaal as ex-street prostitute-turned-adult film director Candy and James Franco as twin brothers Vincent and Frankie Martino, two New York bar owners with ties to the mob.

The cast also includes Emily Meade, Lawrence Gilliard Jr., Chris Coy, Zoe Kazan, Chris Bauer, David Krumholtz, Michael Rispoli, and Ralph Macchio.
