HBO has released the official teaser trailer for the third and final season of the critically acclaimed HBO series "The Deuce," starring Maggie Gyllenhaal and James Franco.

Created, written and executive produced by award-winning "The Wire" creator David Simon and acclaimed crime novelist George Pelecanos, the series chronicles the rise of the sex industry in 1970s and 1980s New York.

The new season will take place in the year 1985, focusing on the '80s boom of the VHS porn market. Gyllenhaal plays Candy, an ex-street prostitute who has become an adult film performer and filmmaker. Meanwhile, Franco is back playing twin brothers Vincent and Frankie Martino, who are a couple of sleazy New York bar owners.

Co-starring Emily Meade, Lawrence Gilliard Jr., Zoe Kazan, Chris Bauer, David Krumholtz, Michael Rispoli, and Ralph Macchio, "The Deuce: Season 3" is due to premiere Monday, September 9th on HBO.
