FX has released the official teaser trailer for "American Horror Story: 1984," in which this season features a Jason Voorhees-like serial killer who terrorizes unsuspecting teenagers at a summer camp called Camp Redwood.
Set in the summer of 1984, this 9th season of the horror anthology series from creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk is paying homage to the slasher films of the '80s, primarily in the vein in the cult horror film franchise "Friday the 13th" and "Sleepaway Camp."
And while it was reported recently that AHS series regulars Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters won't be returning this season, the FX show will nevertheless welcome the returns of Emma Roberts, Billy Lourd, Leslie Grossman, Cody Fern, and John Carroll Lynch, as well as Matthew Morrison (from "Glee") and Angelica Ross (from "Pose").
"American Horror Story: 1984" is due to premiere September 18th.
