Amazon's groundbreaking, award-winning dysfunctional-family series "Transparent" is coming to a close this year with a two-hour musical finale, and the streaming company has released the official trailer.
After four seasons and a much-publicized firing of show star Jeffrey Tambor, the Jill Soloway-created comedy-drama series will start off with the death of Tambor's transparent character Maura Pfefferman.
Upon hearing the news of Maura's death, ex-wife Shelly Pfefferman (played by Emmy-nominated and Tony-winning actress Judith Light) decides to turn her grief into a musical stage show based on her dysfunctional Jewish family, despite the disapproval of her three adult children, Ali, Sarah, and Josh. (again played by Gaby Hoffman, Amy Landecker, and Jay Duplass).
"Transparent: Musicale Finale" premieres September 27th, only on Amazon Prime Video.
