Season 9 of AMC's hit zombie series "The Walking Dead" ended with a major gut punch as we watched homicidal den-mother Alpha and members of her zombie-masked gang The Whisperers snuck into Kingdom's trade fair to capture and killed some of our favorite characters. The season concluded with a fierce blizzard, forcing everyone from the Kingdom to take refuge at the Hilltop and Alexandria campsites. The final shot was centered on a ham radio message from a mysterious female voice, asking if anyone was out there.

Of course, it leaves a lot of questions unanswered about Season 10, which is reportedly going to be Michonne's (Danai Gurira) final season on the series -- though rumor has it, Michonne might follow Rick's footsteps and join the untitled "The Walking Dead" standalone movie, which is currently in pre-production (watch the teaser here ) and will be released only in theaters.

Well, today at San Diego Comic Con, AMC has just released the first official trailer for Season 10 of "The Walking Dead," which still leaves a lot of questions up in the air, but does give fans a taste of what's in store for Michonne (Gurira), Daryl (Norman Reedus), Carol (Melissa McBride), Ezekiel (Khary Payton), Eugene (Josh McDermitt), and Judith (Cailey Fleming) -- and of course, Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), who is now no longer locked up in jail and free to run his mouth.

"The Walking Dead: Season 10" is scheduled to premiere October 6th, on AMC.
